- 2025-03-31: We are proud to announce that two veteran Venture Capitalists have joined Abacus Semi's Strategic Advisory Board. George Lauro and Vivek Mehra will help us navigate the fundraising process as well as provide guidance on our strategies, including our Go-To-Market strategy.
- 2025-03-26: We have been informed that our US Patent Application No. 18/784,787 with Filing Date of July 25, 2024 and the title HETEROGENEOUS ACCELERATED COMPUTE by Inventor Axel K. KLOTH and Applicant ABACUS SEMICONDUCTOR CORPORATION has been published. The subject application was published on January 30, 2025 as publication number US 2025/0036589 A1. This application is now citable against other patent applications as prior art.
- 2025-02-05: Our very own Barry Pangrle, Vice President of Hardware Engineering, has published an article at Semi Engineering about chiplets. The article "Chiplets: Where Are We Today?" highlights the need for chiplets, why they are needed, what the implications are, and what led to the widespread development and deployment of chiplets.
- 2024-11-14: Andreas Dankelmann is the creator and the host of the Podcast "Synced Up". Andreas interviewed our Founder and CEO, Axel Kloth, to find out what it takes to build an innovative team that can deliver. The episode "The Art of Stepping Back: A CEO's Guide to Building Innovative Tech Teams" went online and was published today.
- 2024-10-29: EliteX is a global business media & marketing solution platform creating and delivering quality content to its audience. Its editors interviewed our CEO Axel Kloth to understand his journey from scientist to entrepreneur. The resulting article "The Entrepreneurial Journey of Axel Kloth" was published today.
- 2024-10-21: The Silicon Review, a publication focusing on highlighting up-and-coming high-tech, is an online magazine platform. The editors were curious to find out why current AI hardware has efficiency issues, why the performance of GPGPUs does not quite scale out well enough to provide the performance needed, and what could be done about it, including what the hardware and firmware as well as API requirements would be to build better AI and HPC supercomputers. In the framework of their "30 Smartest Companies of the Year 2024" our Founder and CEO, Axel Kloth, explained in "A Leader in designing cutting-edge processors and smart memories, powering AI, ML, and HPC innovations worldwide: Abacus Semiconductor Corporation" how our processors, accelerators and the smart multi-homed memory are different from what the industry is using today, and why a change is necessary.
- 2024-07-31: CIO Bulletin interviewed our CEO Axel Kloth. The focus of the questions of the magazine revolved around how we have developed our IP and how we are going to defend it, and how it benefits science and humankind in general. As a result of the interview and our responses, Abacus Semi has been named one of the "50 Most Admired Companies to Watch 2024". This interview is now online here.
- 2024-07-29: The SME Business Review Magazine had conducted an interview with Axel Kloth, our CEO, and that interview is now online. They have deemed us to be one of the "30 Most Innovative Companies to Watch 2024". It can be found here.
- 2024-06-77: We were invited to the "Create the Future Summit 2024" in Berkeley. Our CEO, Axel Kloth, was invited to a panel to discuss the future of AI and what its impact on society may be. The organizers have created a Youtube Channel, a link to the photos taken at the event, and one for the videos created.
- 2024-05-17: Shankar Hemmady – the CEO of Blue Horizons, a San Francisco Bay Area-based consultancy that supports Fortune 500 companies on their AI strategies for optimal solutions in their vertical markets – has interviewed our CEO Axel Kloth on a variety of topics regarding HPC, AI and the impact they have on humankind, and produced a fantastic Youtube video of this interview. - 2023-09-12: Our Founder – Axel Kloth – gave an interview quite a while ago before our beyond-von-Neumann and beyond-Harvard technology patent was filed, and as a result, we were unable to use those terms or describe in much detail what this novel technology entails and implies. - 2023-09-04: The Journalist Magazine had interviewed our CEO – Axel Kloth – with regards to our ability to continuously innovate, and how we can sustain those efforts while retaining our team. - 2023-06-13: Axel Kloth – our Founder – gave an interview and went through a full Question and Answer session with The Business Chiefs' Insight a while ago, and it appears as if the editors have digested the (very technical) answers well and made it much easier to understand for the layperson. - 2023-05-25: The CIO Today interviewed our CEO – Axel Kloth – about the reasons for Abacus Semiconductor Corporation to be so innovative, and how we can maintain our lead over other companies, particularly since Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) were the primary reasons for NVIDIA’s ascent into the elite club of $1T market value companies. While NVIDIA is doing a terrific job, we believe we have what it takes to improve upon performance, scale-out and energy-efficiency in traditional HPC, in Large Language Models (LLMs) and in other ML-related workloads.
