Abacus Semiconductor's Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) comprises of the best minds of the business side in the industry of semiconductor design, processor architectures, mathematics and computer science. The Strategic Advisory Board is responsible for helping Marketing to create a push-pull strategy to go to Market and address not only the customers, but also the customer's customers. It assists the company in identifying talent, in making the workplace attractive to all high-performers, and in setting goals for diversity, inclusion and equal treatment for all members of the team.

Jeffrey Chapline, Chairman

Jeffrey Chapline is a seasoned executive who has dedicated his career to improving fairness, inclusion and the implementation of diversity in organizations ranging from non-profits to small-to-medium sized corporations. His work has led him to develop and execute service and research projects in the greater San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and East and South Bay-Area regions in a variety of diverse settings. He has managed cross-cultural projects employing contractors working in multiple languages with proven leadership in coordinating and motivating diverse teams. Axel Kloth

Axel Kloth is the Founder and CEO of Abacus Semiconductor Corporation. He has has built many world-class teams from scratch, over and over again. The Strategic Advisory Board brings together not only technology luminaries, but a broader set of individuals who have proven that they can build sustainable organizations and raise funds, ultimately making those companies profitable and a win for investors and employees and founders alike. George Lauro

In his 25 years as a Venture Capitalist, Investment Banker and Board Executive George was responsible or involved in funding & building technology companies. He has been a Partner at 3 Silicon Valley VC/Private Equity Funds and Board Director at 7 public and 26 private companies. He built several tech companies to high-value M&A or IPO exit. George is a former Managing Director at Wasserstein Perella, a leading Wall Street Private Equity & Leveraged Buyout firm. He launched and ran Wasserstein's Silicon Valley VC/LBO office in Palo Alto as the Head of Tech VC investing. He was a member of Wasserstein Investment Committee. He led and syndicated 34 VC equity financings and PE control deals and completed 19 M&A transactions, several at over $500M valuation. George was Managing Director of Technology Commercialization at IBM World HQ and managed a team that launched multiple IBM spinouts from Watson Research Lab, including wireless Silicon Germanium, that ramped to over $1B revenue. Vivek Mehra

Vivek Mehra is a Partner Emeritus at August Capital. Vivek joined August Capital in 2003. Vivek is advising Abacus Semi on its Go-To-Market strategy and on our fundraise as well as other corporate requirements. He invests broadly in IT infrastructure and areas of interest include data center technologies, systems management, security, storage, and cloud computing systems and software. Prior to joining August Capital, Vivek co-founded Cobalt Networks in 1996. As CTO & VP of Product Development, Vivek built the first successful server appliance and grew Cobalt into a worldwide leader in the category, culminating in a successful IPO and acquisition by Sun Microsystems for $2B. At Sun, Vivek served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Cobalt Business Unit and a member of Sun’s Technical Architecture Council. Vivek received a BS in Electronics from Punjab University, India, and an MS in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University. Deepak Rana

Dr. Deepak Rana is a business and technology leader who has led every aspect of product lifecycle, from ideation to revenues. He built and brought >30 products to the market in Cybersecurity, AI, HDTV, CDN, Networking, HPC, and Edge/Cloud, generating >$3B in revenues. He led >$2B M&As and strategic initiatives (founding PowerPC team, HDTV coding/decoding/transmission, Video on Demand, Optical Networking, and SDN/NFV – the foundation of software defined functions today). Most recently he spearheaded AI/ML in cybersecurity products at PANW, in particular Network security and Intelligence. In the past he worked at Intel (MCM, GM), Ericsson, AT&T/Lucent, AMD, and IBM.
